John Fetterman, man of the people?

At a rally yesterday, Lt. Gov. John Fetterman introduced himself as John Fetterwoman. In past times, Lt. Gov. Fetterman has touted himself as a man of the people, a populist. Frankly, he's simply weird. These days, he's both weird and recovering from a stroke. The stroke is hurting Fetterman's ability to speak.

The ability to speak isn't that important if you're a welder or construction worker. It's vitally important if you're a politician. At his first 3 rallies after his stroke, Fetterman spoke a combined 15 minutes at them. That's right -- 15 minutes total. I'm not talking about averaging 15 minutes per speech.

As terrible as that is, that isn't Lt. Gov. Fetterman's biggest problem. Lt. Gov. Fetterman's biggest problem is that he's a socialist to the left of Sen. Bernie Sanders. Lt. Gov. Fetterman thinks that letting one-third of the prisoners out of Pennsylvania's prisons won't make Pennsylvania's neighborhoods less safe. What idiot thinks like this?

It's possible that this man might actually represent Pennsylvania in the U.S. Senate: That's a frightening thought. What's more frightening is the fact that Fetterman wants to eliminate fracking, which is an $80,000,000,000 a year industry in Pennsylvania. Picking Fetterman to represent Democrats on the ticket in Pennsylvania shows that they don't care about Pennsylvanians as much as they care about getting another ideologue into the Senate. Let's remember that ideologues don't listen to their constituents. They listen to their wishlists. If inflation is rising, the ideologue's highest priority is passing election integrity legislastion. That sounds like hyperbole but it happened earlier this year.

The only reason it failed was because they couldn't reach the 60-vote threshold to end the filibuster. BTW, Fetterman wants to end the filibuster. I'm with Bonchie on this:

My support of Mehmet Oz means my opinion won’t mean much to those who support Fetterman. But really, I beg of them to watch that clip and believe their eyes and ears. This farce has gone on long enough, and it needs to be stopped at the ballot box. Don’t elect someone to such an important office that is so obviously incapable and unqualified. The current president has shown us how that turns out.
