Border policy vs. border action, Mayorkas edition

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas insisted that the Biden administration is "doing so much." Then Secretary Mayorkas said "You know what our policy is? Our policy is to enforce the law. And that is indeed what we are doing. Individuals who arrive at our border who do not have a legal basis to remain in the United States are being removed."

That's true except for the people who come to the U.S. illegally but who still get processed, then released into the U.S. Those illegal aliens don't seem to have paid a price for ignoring this nation's laws. Apparently, the Biden administration isn't interested in consistently enforcing the law, which makes this a perfect match for the situation.

Secretary Mayorkas resorted to the Democrats' tried-and-true-tactic of comprehensive immigration reform. He said "At the same time, we continue to urge Congress to pass immigration reform, because one thing that everyone agrees upon, in an area where there’s very little agreement, the area of immigration, is that our system is broken and it is in dire and desperate need of reform."

I haven't heard the Democrats' justification for comprehensive immigration reform. I've heard justification for some tweaking of some laws but I haven't seen justification for overhauling the entire immigration system. Further, I question writing new laws when this administration refuses to enforce existing laws.

Orderly vs. Chaotic

Let's ask Secretary Mayorkas if the Biden practice is orderly or chaotic. Better yet, let's ask border patrol agents if the administration's system is chaotic or orderly. I'm betting that they'd say that the system is chaotic. That's because that's what they've told U.S. senators:

It's impossible to buy into Secretary Mayorkas's blather when you consider the chaotic nature of the border. When border patrol agents are tending to children rather than enforcing this nation's laws, it's impossible to believe that the laws are being enforced consistently. How is that physically possible?

Secretary Mayorkas isn't a man of integrity. He's a political hack and a liar. Unfortunately, Biden picked him, then installed him into a national security position. That's how Democrats roll.

When putting his Cabinet together, Biden pledged that his Cabinet would "look like America", whatever that means. He didn't say that they'd be men and women of integrity and unquestioned credentials. That's how Biden put together the most incompetent cabinet in modern U.S. history. That's why Biden's cabinet is filled with Democrats that don't hesitate in lying. Atop that list are Secretary Mayorkas and AG Garland. Both men need to be impeached ASAP.
