Kevin Walling vs. parents, police
Kevin Walling, a former Biden surrogate, didn't get that memo either. In his op-ed, Walling skips past this year's primaries while touting a Washington-centric message. Walling wrote "All of these factors, coupled with a series of big legislative wins for veterans health care, the CHIPs Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act provide a stark contrast for President Biden and the united Democratic Party compared with the scenes playing out on the Republican side of the aisle."
Tuesday night in Florida, voters without a statewide GOP race to rush to the polls about showed up anyway to throw out woke Democrat school board members en masse. Prior to Tuesday night, Gov. DeSantis endorsed 30 anti-woke candidates for school board races. When the dust settled, 25 of those 30 candidates had won their races.
Notice what Walling didn't talk about:
In the wake of the Mar-a-Lago search, former President Trump is rallying his base and forcing would-be rivals to go on the record that there was nothing wrong or illegal in taking classified documents, some of our nation’s most sensitive secrets, to his palatial country club estate in Palm Beach.Apparently, Mr. Walling isn't interested in talking about crime, where Democrats aren't trusted, or education, where Randi Weingarten turned a solid Democrat issue into a strong GOP issue, or border security, where the Democrats' policies are the worst in US history. Education will be a major issue in Virginia and Florida. Border security is a major issue in Texas, Arizona and Nevada. Crime will be a major problem for Democrats in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. This is a brief report on the Florida school board races: In other voting Tuesday night, Florida Democrats picked Charlie Crist to be Gov. DeSantis's sacrificial lamb. Don't be surprised if Ann Dorn, "a retired sergeant from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and widow of Capt. David Dorn, is sent out to places where crime is a major issue.Literally overnight, all talk of potential GOP 2024 contenders appears to have evaporated leaving Republicans like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Sen. Ted Cruz and even Trump’s one-time running mate, Vice President Mike Pence, scratching their heads and pledging fealty to the Don once again.
Even South Carolina Republican Sen. Tim Scott, who just published a book in anticipation of a potential presidential run, spent the majority of his time on cable news after August 8 answering questions about the Palm Beach raid instead of talking about his brand of politics and how he can take it national.
