The Jensen-Birk policy tour
Their videos have addressed small businesses, crime and education. The theme thus far has been one of the importance of changing direction. The Jensen-Birk ticket also released their plan for energy, which has drawn this rave review from Isaac Orr.
Orr praised the Jensen-Birk plan, saying "The main pillars of Jensen’s energy policies are legalizing the construction of new nuclear power plants, repealing the California car mandates for electric vehicles, which unelected bureaucrats in the Walz administration unilaterally imposed on Minnesota, and maintaining the reliability of our electric grid. Each of these proposals is exactly what we should be focusing on for the future of energy in Minnesota."
This is a no-brainer of a decision. Gov. Walz can't advocate for nuclear power because he's owned by the environmental activist wing of the DFL. Nuclear is safe, emission-free and reliable. As for repealing California's EV car mandates, that's a major step in the right direction.
The DFL thinks that it's ok to force people to do what it thinks is the right thing. The GOP thinks that it's important to let people and families make decisions like that. Climate change exists but it isn't the existential threat that the DFL thinks.
How many small business owners remember Tim Walz's arbitrary decisions on who could stay open and who was shut down? For those that remember, check out this video:
We don't need a tyrant who's clinging to his peacetime emergency powers. That's Tim Walz. We need someone who utilizes those powers briefly, then returns to working with the legislature. Finally, it's time for legislators to make these EV car decisions. Having unelected bureaucrats making those decisions is repulsive and then some.
