Roe v. Wade overturned, Democrats start fearmongering

 The minute that Roe v. Wade and Casey v. Planned Parenthood were overturned, Democrats started fearmongering. Joe Biden displayed the most calm, waiting until the afternoon to react. In the morning, Speaker Pelosi made this statement:

Today, the Republican-controlled Supreme Court has achieved the GOP’s dark and extreme goal of ripping away women’s right to make their own reproductive health decisions. Because of Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, the Republican Party and their supermajority on the Supreme Court, American women today have less freedom than their mothers.

With Roe now out of their way, radical Republicans are charging ahead with their crusade to criminalize health freedom. In the Congress, Republicans are plotting a nationwide abortion ban. In the states, Republicans want to arrest doctors for offering reproductive care and women for terminating a pregnancy. GOP extremists are even threatening to criminalize contraception, as well as in-vitro fertilization and post-miscarriage care.

Let's go through that second paragraph sentence-by-sentence:
With Roe now out of their way, radical Republicans are charging ahead with their crusade to criminalize health freedom.
That's BS and she knows it. That's fearmongering at its worst.
In the Congress, Republicans are plotting a nationwide abortion ban.
That's another lie. Ever since the draft opinion was leaked, Republicans have repeatedly said that overturning Roe meant that abortion would be returned to the states.
In the states, Republicans want to arrest doctors for offering reproductive care and women for terminating a pregnancy.
This is getting irritating. She's making this stuff up. No wonder she's such a miserable person.
GOP extremists are even threatening to criminalize contraception, as well as in-vitro fertilization and post-miscarriage care.
FDR famously said that the only thing that Americans had to fear was fear itself. These days, all that Democrats have to offer is fear itself.

This cruel ruling is outrageous and heart-wrenching. But make no mistake: the rights of women and all Americans are on the ballot this November.
There's the real takeaway. With the 1/6 Committee hearings getting ignored and the recession about to hit, Democrats have to distract from their failures. Otherwise, they'll get clobbered in this November's midterms.

The other takeaway is that Pelosi won't tell the truth when hit with another failure. She's simply a dishonest person.

Then there's Joe Biden, another dishonest person:

Today is a — it’s not hyperbole to suggest a very solemn moment. Today, the Supreme Court of the United States expressly took away a constitutional right from the American people that it had already recognized.

They didn’t limit it. They simply took it away. That’s never been done to a right so important to so many Americans.

First, there's never been a constitutional right to an abortion. The Constitution simply doesn't address abortion. What has existed is a judicial edict where the Supreme Court overstepped their authority.

When a con-law professor asks his/her students where the right to free speech is, everyone immediately knows it's found in the First Amendment. When that professor asks where the right to "keep and bear arms" is, they immediately point to the Second Amendment. Where's the right to a fair trial located? In the Sixth Amendment.

When people are asked where the right to an abortion is located, the room is silent (if they're being honest). Nowhere in the Constitution is abortion mentioned. What's found in the Ninth and Tenth amendments? Here's the text of the Ninth Amendment:

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
Here's the text of the Tenth Amendment:
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
Since abortion isn't one of the responsibilities given to the federal government, it's "reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." Voiding Roe and Casey simply returns the debate to the legislative process in the states, where it belonged all along.

When the Supreme Court ruled on abortion n 1973, the Supreme Court ruled on something that belonged in the political processs at the state level. That's what Justice Alito's majority opinion stated. This is Biden's dishonesty-filled speech:

This presents a difficult problem. Is Pelosi the biggest liar in DC? Or is Biden? Is it a tie? What a pair of losers.
