John Marty's abortion dishonesty

Saturday afternoon, Minnesota State Sen. John Marty decided to rip the mask off and show his true self about abortion. Sen. Marty decided to post this tweet, which is a lie about what would happen if the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Sen. Marty tweeted "Criminalizing abortion isn't Pro-Life; It's Anti-Woman. That's why so many people are fired up; great crowd at the Bans Off Our Bodies Rally today." This is a screenshot of Sen. Marty's tweet:
If Roe is overturned by SCOTUS, state legislatures and governors in all 50 states would work together to put a bill together, pass it and have the governor sign it. There are currently 37 states with unified Democrat or Republican state government. The vast majority of those states would pass bills virtually immediately. Some states have passed laws that would go into effect if Roe is overturned. None of those laws would criminalize abortion.

This is outright dishonesty:

It's time Sen. Marty admitted that abortion isn't a constitutional right. It's a judicial creation. I know I have the right to a speedy trial because it's explicitly stated in the Sixth Amendment. I know I have the right to keep and bear arms because the Second Amendment explicitly states that I have that right. Sen. Marty can't show people where the Constitution, the Bill of Rights or the other amendments explicitly state the right to an abortion.

Since Sen. Marty can't show me proof that this is a federal issue, that throws the issue to the states through the Tenth Amendment. The only way to criminalize abortion is to pass a state law criminalizing it.

Sen. Marty knows that. Instead, Sen. Marty lied to increase voter intensity in Minneapolis. With DFL voter enthusiasm running low, it's only logical for Sen. Marty to resort to this tactic.

Marty is in a safe district so his seat won't be flipped. It's Republicans' jobs to flip a bunch of suburban districts to flip the House.
