The Democrats' censorship cartel
Glenn Reynolds, aka the Instapundit, is a reliable exposer of the Democrats' propaganda. When he sees Democrat propaganda, he attacks it like Joe Biden attacks ice cream cones. This week, Reynolds identified Reich's latest propaganda. Then he obliterated Reich in his latest NYPost column.
Reich made the mistake of commenting on Elon Musk's attempt to buy Twitter. Specifically, the title to Reich's op-ed originally read "Elon Musk’s vision for the Internet is dangerous nonsense: Musk has long advocated a libertarian vision of an 'uncontrolled' internet. That’s also the dream of every dictator, strongman and demagogue."
It's safe to say that Reynolds didn't suffer that fool lightly, Here's his reply:
The mockery was understandable. "Libertarian visions" of "uncontrolled" speech haven’t actually been the stock-in-trade of dictators, strongmen and demagogues. Typically, those authoritarian figures want to silence their opponents and ensure that their own voices, and those of their satraps and sycophants, are the only ones heard.Let's be blunt about something. The latest Democrat policy wonk who made sense was Bill Clinton. He left office in January, 2001. Bernie Sanders has a message but it's socialist BS that doesn't work. Elizabeth Warren has a message but it's just a moderated version of Bernie's socialist BS. That's why Democrats need to shut down conservatives' speech.
If Democrats were forced to compete on the battlefield of ideas without the battlefield being rigged, they'd get their butts kicked. Silencing their opponents' speech is the Democrats' only option. Miranda Devine discusses this with Kennedy in this interview:
The Washington Post's motto is "Democracy dies in darkness." Apparently, that's also the Democrats' utopia. PS- Democracy is a euphemism for 'mob rule.' A republic with a bill of rights that's reliant on natural law is the only form of government that's capable of delivering justice. The Democrats' utopia is shutting down the Constitution's Bill of Rights. Only then can Democrats gete their way. This November, the Democrats' vision will suffer a temporary setback. That's the good news. The bad news is that conservatives and other fair-minded people will need to continue to beat back the Democrats' censorship visions.
