Joe Biden's desperation is showing
According to Axios, the president’s advisers are considering the trip as a way to mend fences with the Islamic nation and get them to produce more oil to offset the loss that would come should the U.S. ban the purchase of oil from Russia.Biden is heading to Saudi Arabia right after signing a deal with Iran, aka Saudi Arabia's best friend in the Middle East? (I'm being sarcastic.) What could possibly go wrong? This is another Biden foreign policy disaster just waiting to happen. The meeting would come at a time when Americans are hurting due to inflation, which has been particularly noticeable at the gas pump, with prices climbing higher and higher. Biden spent much of last year citing the need to move away from fossil fuels because climate change was the "greatest threat" to the country, and one of his first acts was to shut down the Keystone XL oil pipeline.
Here's a few questions for 'Scranton Joe' to answer before he visits Saudi Arabia:
- Is it better to have Saudi Arabia, Russia or Iran drill for oil than it is for the U.S. to drill for oil?
- Are you aware that Soviet and Iranian oil pollutes more than U.S. oil and natural gas?
- Considering the fact that Russian and Iranian oil and natural gas will help fund Putin's invasion of Ukraine and Iran's funding of terrorist proxies like Hezbollah and Hamas, please explain why it isn't in our best interest to drill our own oil and natural gas.
To summarize, we aren't using a drop less oil today than a year ago. Considering the fact that Russian oil and natural gas pollutes more than U.S. oil and natural gas, the climate change argument is BS. Further, buying fossil fuels from Iran and Russia are indisputably terrible for U.S. national security, there really isn't a logical reason to not opt for U.S. energy independence.
