Volodymyr Zelenskyy's leadership

Just when there seemed like a leadership shortage on the international stage, that leadership arrived bigtime. I wish it'd been Joe Biden but that would've required Divine intervention. Then again, I'm a firm believer in Divine intervention.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stepped into that leadership void without hesitation. When Ukraine needed leadership the most, that's what Zelenskyy supplied. Saturday morning, Zelenskyy provided inspiration when Ukraine needed it most.

Rumors had circulated that President Zelenskyy would flee Ukraine once the going got difficult. That didn't happen. President Zelenskyy took to social media to tell his fellow countrymen that he wasn't going anywhere.

At this point, Ukraine is surviving because of President Zelenskyy's leadership, and Ukrainians' fierce patriotism. They're surviving despite Joe Biden's decisions. Last March, when Russia amassed 70,000 troops on Ukraine's border, Biden should've sold Ukraine Javelin anti-tank missiles, night vision goggles and whatever other hardware Ukraine wanted to buy.

Biden should've announced that the U.S. was ramping up energy production again, with the intent of selling the excess production to Europe. If AOC and Bernie complain about that, tough. Ask them if it's more important to strengthen our economy, lower inflation and cut off financing to the Russian bear than it is to fix a minor challenge that we're already making progress on.

President Zelenskyy summed things up this way:

Volodymyr Zelensky reaffirmed his commitment to fight against the Russian invasion at a news briefing in the Ukrainian capital, refusing an American offer to evacuate. "The fight is here," he said.
This is the face of another portrait in leadership:

It's time for the U.S. to stand up and help the Ukrainian people. Ukrainians are effectively fighting the Russian bear. In the words of Ukraine's leader, he needs ammunition, not a ride. The U.S. should expedite (that means to move swiftly) shipments of lethal military aid to Ukraine before the end of the weekend.

Whether Joe Biden orders that from Delaware or from the White House, this lethal military aid is required immediately. A ton of urgency is required to save the freedom-loving people of Ukraine. They don't have a month.
