Joe Biden's cutting-edge failure
Secretary Granholm is quoted as saying something that questions the Biden administration's commitment to green energy. She said "I think that there is great agreement on the need to do something on the climate." She's also quoted as saying that "Doing nothing isn't an option." Saying that we need to do something on climate isn't like saying that it's an existential threat.
Predictably, the administration is facing pushback. Rep. Ralph Norman of South Carolina pushed back, saying "I’m afraid extreme proposals by Democrats will do nothing but destroy good-paying American jobs and ruin our economy."
Meanwhile, Biden insists that he'll "work like the devil" to address high gas prices. Like most of his actions, he's a failure on energy. Gas prices are up $1.00/gallon in the last year. Last Friday, a gallon of regular unleaded cost $3.48/gallon.
During a rare press availability on Thursday, President Joe Biden promised to “work like the devil” to address high gasoline prices at the pump. He said that as part of an answer in which he also admitted, “I don’t know why they keep moving and all that.” Thus, the President promises to work hard to fix the problem, but admits to having little understanding of its’ causes. This isn't surprising. Let's remember this oldie-but-goodie: This is the Democrats War on Fossil Fuels 2.0. We've cleaned up our emissions significantly. We've done that through technology and innovation. We've done that without killing the fossil fuel industry. That lack of understanding on energy-related matters in general by this administration and members of congress is certainly an assessment with which many leaders in the oil and gas industry would agree. At a recent industry conference, the CEO of one large upstream company referred to the Biden administration as being “energy ignorant.” Another CEO admitted that their company has “no relationship at all” with anyone in the administration. Another told me during an interview that they found it “impossible” to even get a meeting with relevant officials at the Department of Interior or DOE.
Inflation is at a 40-year high, thanks in large part to energy prices and the Fed buying of bonds. Crime is running rampant, too. Is there anything that this administration hasn't demolished? This administration is on the cutting-edge of failure.
