Alejandro Mayorkas' lawlessness

Alejando Mayorkas shouldn't be in law enforcement. That sounds odd considering the fact that he's the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. He's the CEO in charge of enforcing US immigration laws. Rep. Chip Roy and Rep. Michael Cloud wrote this op-ed to make the case for why Secretary Mayorkas should be removed from office via impeachment.

It's worth noting that this op-ed isn't a political document like an Adam Schiff op-ed on impeachment of former President Trump. Roy's and Cloud's op-ed is substantive and lists proof of Mayorkas' law-breaking.

Roy's and Cloud's chief argument for Mayorkas's impeachment is dereliction of duty. Dereliction of duty is defined as "deliberate or conscious neglect;" of duty. In their article, Roy and Cloud wrote "The secretary has caused CBP to become overwhelmed and less-capable to enforce the law, primarily by failing to utilize tools such as Title 42 and the "Remain in Mexico" policy. Secretary Mayorkas can enforce the CDC public health order 42 U.S. Code § 265 (Title 42) and is choosing not to do so for tens of thousands of illegal migrants, turning away fewer than 60% under the provision last FY." Roy and Cloud continue with this:

Mayorkas has released migrants, despite the law, into the United States. Generally, any individual who illegally crosses our border is required by statute to be detained and placed in removal proceedings. However, reports show that border patrol directly released 283,000 migrants into the U.S. in FY21, 95,000 without the statutory requirement of a "Notice to Appear."
That's the definition of a scofflaw. Then there's this:
Since Secretary Mayorkas has been in charge at DHS, almost 14,000 pounds of fentanyl have been seized by federal agents at the southern border – for comparison, in combined years FY19 and FY20 roughly 7,600 pounds were seized.
The question that Secretary Mayorkas hasn't answered is whether he intends on enforcing any immigration laws consistently. Check out this video:

If Secretary Mayorkas isn't consistently enforcing this nation's immigration laws, then Secretary Mayorkas should be impeached. Unfortunately, that won't happen because Nancy Pelosi won't let her Democrats touch impeachment against the Biden administration. If Ms. Pelosi wanted what's best for America, which she doesn't, she'd lead the charge for Secretary Mayorkas' impeachment. Instead, she's just another partisan hack invested in her party. That's the definition of a Swamp loser.

This upcoming November, we need people of all political stripes to put America first. We need those people to vote Swamp Democrats out of power for the next decade.

Mayorkas has empowered cartels and allowed illegal aliens to destroy private property, placing American citizens at risk of physical harm and endangering livelihoods. In May, a Carrizo Springs, Texas, rancher reported that chases and "bailouts" – when migrants jump out of a vehicle and run away – had been happening on her property multiple times per week since January, often damaging her property. Ranchers in South Texas regularly find the bodies of dead migrants on their land. For counties like Brooks County, Texas, which found over 108 dead migrant bodies last year alone; factoring in autopsies, burials and special equipment to retrieve individuals, each one can cost a county $13,100 by one estimate.
It's time to clean out the DC Swamp as much as possible.
