Joe Biden's irrelevant denial
In short, the Biden administration didn't replenish the SNS in a timely fashion. That means that they failed miserably. They didn't "prepare and respond to emergencies, support state and local preparedness activities, and ensure availability of critical medical assets to protect the health of Americans." That's their mission. If they did nothing else in life, they had an affirmative responsibility to stockpile "medical assets."
Despite that, the Biden administration is making a phony argument:
White House reporters confronted President Biden about a Vanity Fair piece that alleged his administration rejected a plan to boost holiday testing from COVID-testing experts.Whether they did or didn't is irrelevant. As I said before, this administration had an affirmative responsibility to keep the supplies in stock. In the midst of a pandemic, this administration should've been on an even higher alert. This thinking is disturbing: Then Biden said this:"We didn't reject it," Biden told New York Post reporter Steven Nelson before departing the White House for Marine One on Monday.
Yet Biden also made an admission about his handling of rapid tests in a call with several U.S. governors on Monday morning, saying, "It is not enough. It’s clearly not enough. If I had - we - had known, we would have gone harder, quicker, if we could have."Biden is tap-dancing his way through a difficult spot there. He's been caught and he knows it. At minimum, his staff knows that they've been caught.
This is a big deal. Without testing, COVID might not get detected quickly. Potentially, that's a problem. Further, this administration needs new priorities. Since there's a shortage of tests, there's a need to ration them to those most at risk.
This administration gets a failing grade on COVID. We're no closer to the pandemic's end but we're suffering through lots of ineffective mandates. Joe Biden and Tony Fauci keep ignoring therapeutics, natural immunity and anti-virals. They're focused solely on vaccines. It's time to move past these idiots. It's time to start listening to actual experts.
Finally, it's time to start preparing the way for someone with actual managerial experience to be this nation's CEO/president. 4 more years of these idiots isn't sustainable.
