Henry Quellar's final term in office?

Texas is building a border wall in the Rio Grande Valley, aka RGV. Henry Cuellar is considered a moderate Democrat in the US House of Representatives. That might not be enough to prevent him from becoming a former member in the US House of Representatives. According to this article, Rep. Cuellar is opposed to building a border wall, calling it a 14th Century solution.

Cuellar told Borderreport "Border walls are ineffective, cause harm to the environment, induce severe flooding, and encroach on private property. “While Gov. Abbott wants to address the humanitarian crisis at the southern border, he must look to alternative solutions. I remain staunchly opposed to border walls, which are cost-prohibitive and ineffective. Instead, let’s focus on technology, equipment and personnel."

The Trump wall system focused on the wall but also included technology, diplomacy (MPP, safe harbor agreements with each of the Northern Triangle countries), enforcement of US immigration laws and telling illegal immigrants that they won't get released into the US. Joe Biden doesn't care about enforcing immigration laws. Biden is letting tens of millions of dollars of bollard fencing materials sit idle. When officially asked by Texas if they'd sell those materials to Texas, the Biden administration didn't even respond to Texas. The Biden administration's indifference to the border is painfully obvious.

Henry Cuellar is more sane on immigration than most other Democrats. Still, he isn't strong on border security. Anyone that isn't pro-fence during this crisis needs to go. Then there's this:

Another politician who might be serving their final term in office is Sen. Maggie Hassan. Sen. Hassan recently spoke on the Senate floor about the need to eliminate the legislative filibuster and to pass the Democrats' election reform agenda:
Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH) is facing a tough re-election battle in the upcoming midterms. After previously defending the filibuster in 2017, she's now flip flopped. During a Thursday night floor speech, Hassan claimed "we must change the Senate rules to protect the right to vote, because if we don't, we face a very different kind of Election Day than the one we have now."

It got more outrageous from there.

"If the partisans who are attacking our democracy have their way," Hassan continued, "our Tuesday Election Day in early November will be different. We'll wake up, cast our vote, drop our kids off at school, go to work. We'll tune back in at the end of the day to see the election results, only to learn that the vote tally is being ignored, that our votes don't matter much. We'll learn that our legislatures are going to throw out the results and pick their own winner."

This is proof that a little paranoia goes a long way. This is what Democrat hysteria looks like. First, the right to vote isn't endangered. Period. Next, the only partisans attacking our constitutional republic are Democrats. We've had a smooth-functioning election system intact for 100+ years. If started going sideways when Democrats started getting 'innovative' with it. Third, legislatures aren't involved in the electoral process except for the presidential race.

Hassan ran as a moderate, which is what Democrats are when they're campaigning. If they're elected, though, they develop a problem. It's called a voting record. It shows who these Democrats really are.
