OPEC+ toys with wimpy Joe Biden

Who could've predicted that OPEC+ and Russia might delay increasing oil production after Joe Biden announced he'd tap 50,000,000 barrels of oil from the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve? A: The Wall Street Journal predicted it. Ditto with Forbes Magazine owner Steve Forbes. Ditto with Larry Kudlow, now the host of his own show on Fox Business.

This article reports "Top oil producers Saudi Arabia and Russia are considering pausing their planned efforts to ramp up oil production, according to The Wall Street Journal, after the U.S. and other energy-consuming countries said they would tap their national strategic petroleum reserves in an attempt to bring down gasoline prices." That's as surprising as finding out that the sun always rises in the east. If Joe Biden wasn't totally afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome, he likely wouldn't have demolished each of President Trump's successful policies.

Reversing this policy is exceptionally stupid. With it comes skyrocketing gas prices and super-expensive home heating bills this winter. With it comes inflation for every product that's trucked or shipped to stores. The Biden White House apparently doesn't understand the principle of supply-and-demand. Larry Kudlow understands it and gives the Biden administration a tongue-lashing in his opening riff:

This was Biden's statement the morning he tapped the SPR:
"The fact is we always get through those spikes but we’re going to get through this one as well as hopefully faster," Biden said in remarks from the White House on Tuesday, adding: "While our combined actions will not solve the problems of high gas prices overnight, it will make a difference. It will take time, but before long you should see the price of gas drop where you fill up your tank."
The US should be drilling to creating our own energy. I'm old enough to remember when US fossil fuel companies were producing more natural gas, oil and coal than we needed for our needs. That's when we exported oil and natural gas.

Interestingly, when we were exporting natural gas to Europe, Russia was on the defensive. Now that Biden has declared war on fossil fuels, Russia is threatening Ukraine again and partnering with China to strengthen Iran again. These policies have hurt families here in the US while strengthening our enemies internationally.

That's just plain stupid. I was told that electing Biden meant that the adults would be back in charge. Apparently, when Democrats said that adults would be in charge, they omitted the part about these adults being senile or having dementia.

After Minnesota's Democrats shoved the most controversial progressive legislation down Minnesotans' throats, gossip started popping up about Gov. Walz being interested in running for president . Yesterday, Maria Bartiromo interrogated Gov. Ron DeSantis on Sunday Morning Futures. The first half of the interview, Bartiromo asked policy questions. Gov. DeSantis showed his understanding of the issues and presented his solutions on everything from China, inflation and growing the economy. The first reply he had was to cut spending.
