Trouble in Reconciliation paradise?

Apparently, Joe Manchin and Kirsten Sinema aren't the only Democrats objecting to the Democrats' reconciliation bill. Seven Texas Democrats have written Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer objecting to Joe Biden's reconciliation bill.Appparently, hardline Democrats don't care if moderate Democrats return after the next election. Despite the objections of "Henry Cuellar, Vicente Gonzalez, Lizzie Fletcher, Sylvia Garcia, Marc Veasey, Filemon Vela, and Colin Allred," Democrats "in the U.S. House Natural Resources Committee pushed through a section of the bill, which includes billions of dollars in taxes, fines, and fees on the oil and gas industry in the name of climate change. Committee Chair Raúl M. Grijalva, D-Ariz., said the section of the bill that passed 'invested in millions of American jobs' and put the U.S. 'on a more stable long-term economic and environmental path.'"

In a newsletter to constituents, Gonzalez, whose district stretches from Seguin to McAllen, said he urged Democratic leadership to reconsider provisions targeting energy jobs in the Build Back Better Act "that unfairly target oil and gas jobs."

"While I agree that we should support the growth of green jobs, and invest in our workforce and healthcare system, we must not do it in a way that hurts Texas jobs and Texan families," he said.

Cueller, whose district also stretches to the southern border and has also called on the Biden administration to halt its open border policies, argues that Biden’s energy plans will cost thousands of jobs and only increase costs, hurting Texans and other American, in the process.

A little over 5 minutes into this interview, Rick Perry nails it:
Grijalva is spinning bigtime. By his own admission, Grijalva is an environmental activist:
We all deserve to breathe clean air, drink clean water, and live on land free from contaminants and pollution. Throughout my time in public service, I’ve put environmental justice at the center of everything from infrastructure and economic development to our current efforts to address the climate crisis. Arizona is at the center of the environmental justice and climate justice movements and often disproportionately experiences the deadly heatwaves, droughts, and wildfires. To solve the climate crisis, we must continue transitioning our economy away from one reliant on fossil fuels to a new green economy based in renewable energy that creates millions of new green jobs.
Why should these Texas Democrats walk the plank while passing the Green New Deal? They represent fossil fuel districts. Henry Cuellar, Vicente Gonzalez, Lizzie Fletcher, Sylvia Garcia, Marc Veasey, Filemon Vela and Colin Allred owe nothing to Grijalva, Pelosi and Schumer. They should vote no on final passage of the Build Back Better Bill. If they vote for it, they deserve getting thumped in their re-election attempt.
