The border is closed, secret flight edition

When Alejandro Mayorkas lied about the border being closed, the American people knew immediately that he wasn't telling the truth. The NYPost is reporting that DHS has been chartering flights from Texas to Jacksonville, FL and White Plains, NY to disperse illegal immigrants across the United States.

Consider that so far this fiscal year, more than 132,000 underage migrants have been taken into federal custody — a 64 percent increase from the last border crisis in 2019, and a nearly 300 percent increase from last year.

These youth are part of a months-long, 21-year-record surge in illegal immigration, still ongoing, that was triggered when Biden scrapped many of former President Donald Trump’s border policies. So along with record numbers of migrant youth, we also have record numbers of families and single adults being released from federal custody.

This describes the Democrats' catch-and-release program perfectly. The border isn't closed. It's open. This isn't opinion.

Johnson cited a Sept. 11 letter sent to Senate leadership by former U.S. Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott that warned the agency was losing its ability to police the southern border and that he was "sickened by the avoidable and rapid disintegration of what was arguably the most effective border security in our Nation's history."

Speaking to Mayorkas, Johnson said, "We were serious about border security until your administration took office. You stood before this committee and said you would enforce the laws. You have not done that."

The senator then asked the DHS secretary to give "ballpark" estimates for how many migrants of the 1.3 million apprehended since October are still being detained, as well as how many have been deported and how many have been released into the U.S.

Secretary Mayorkas isn't tethered to the truth. He's one of the most dishonest cabinet secretaries in history, if not the most dishonest cabinet secretary in history. Here's an oldie but goodie:

Democrats know that they're lying. At this point, they don't care if they suffer the biggest midterm defeat in Democrat Party history as long as tons of illegal immigrants get dispersed across the nation.

What happens when these families and adults are released is unclear. Because federal immigration authorities have been overwhelmed with the sheer volume of people crossing the border, many migrants are released with nothing more than what’s called a notice to report (NTR), which isn’t the same as a notice to appear (NTA) before an immigration judge.

These NTRs are essentially a request by the federal government that within 60 days of their release, these migrants will on their own initiative check in with a local Immigration and Customs Enforcement office wherever they end up in the US.

This is the definition of open borders. This is the portrait of lawlessness. Republicans must fight this tooth-and-nail. When a Republican wins the 2024 presidential election, that person should put in place a plan to deport the Biden illegal immigrants ASAP.
