Joe Biden's worst day as president

I don't blame Joe Biden for his early escape to his Rehoboth Beach estate Friday. Friday was the worst day of Joe's presidency. This article will highlight each of the major things that went wrong for Biden.

FAA grounding of Fox drone fails

Thursday night, the Federal Aviation Administration notified Fox News that they couldn't use their drone to report on the deteriorating conditions underneath the International Bridge in Del Rio, TX. This is what 'hell on earth' looks like:

Being the resourceful reporter that he is, Melugin hitched a ride in a TX Department of Public Safety helicopter. This video essentially rendered the FAA ruling immaterial: Mid-Friday afternoon, the FAA lifted the restrictions. As of Thursday night, there were 10,503 illegal immigrants sheltering under the international brighe. That's according to Sen. Ted Cruz, (R-TX). He got that information from Border Patrol.

At about the time the restrictions were lifted, another disaster was unfolding.

Pentagon admits drone strike killed 10 civilians, including 7 children

Earlier this week, Gen. Milley called the attack "a righteous strike." United States Central Command Gen. Kenneth McKenzie said "We now assess that it is unlikely that the vehicle and those who died were associated with ISIS-K or a direct threat to US forces." Gen. McKenzie added, saying that "the incident [was] a 'tragic mistake.'"

FDA panel recommends Pfizer’s Covid booster doses for people 65 and older after rejecting third shots for general population

An influential Food and Drug Administration advisory committee on Friday rejected a proposal to distribute booster shots of Pfizer and BioNTech’s Covid-19 vaccine to the general public, paring back those plans to unanimously recommend the third shots to people age 65 and older and other vulnerable Americans.
"It’s likely beneficial, in my opinion, for the elderly, and may eventually be indicated for the general population. I just don’t think we’re there yet in terms of the data," said Dr. Ofer Levy, a vaccine and infectious disease specialist at Boston Children’s Hospital.

The panel voted 16-2 against distributing the vaccines to Americans 16 and older, before unanimously embracing an alternate plan to give boosters to older Americans and those at a high risk of suffering from severe illness if they get the virus. That’s previously included people with diabetes, heart disease, obesity and other so-called comorbidities.

This was a major rejection for the Biden administration. The administration has preached vaccines for all for months.

Biden vs. DeSantis fight, Monoclonal Antibodies Edition

Friday, the Biden administration tried taking control of monoclonal antibody distribution, then tried cutting Florida's distribution by 50%. Florida Gov. DeSantis had a different plan:
Gov. DeSantis said "To just spring this on us, starting next week we're going to have to do that, there's going to be a huge disruption, and patients are going to suffer as a result of this."
Instead of taking Biden's punishment, DeSantis negotiated with GlaxoSmithKlein, then bought enough of the MAB to supply his state. This is what Gov. DeSantis's press seccretary said in an official statement:
"We were happy to see that Biden’s COVID plan announced last week included a 50% increase in monoclonal antibody deliveries to states this month," DeSantis press secretary Christina Pushaw told Fox News in a Thursday statement.
"So it's surprising and deeply disappointing that the Biden Admin would break this promise just a week later and cut MAB allocation to Florida, so they aren’t even providing half of the doses of life-saving treatment that COVID patients in Florida will need," Pushaw continued.
Friday was a difficult day for the administration. They got difficult news on immigration, weaponizing government, killing Afghani civilians and COVID. Other than that, they had a fine day.
