Joe Biden's definition of zero
I shouldn't have trusted the media to do the right thing. Like Democrats, aka the media's bosses, the media will always do the right thing when it's the only option left. Let's take Biden's lies apart piece-by-piece.
First, the Build Back Better Act doesn't come close to being deficit-neutral. The Tax Foundation found that revenues increased by $1.06T, a gigantic amount away from $5.5T.
It's obvious that there's a major shortfall between the revenue that the Biden/Democrat tax hikes would generate and the revenue that's needed to meet reconciliation requirements. If the parliamentarian rules that the Build Back Better Act adds too much debt, the parliamentarian can rule that reconciliation can't be used in this instance.Republicans should emphasize that people making well less than $200,000 will get hurt by the Democrats' tax hikes. They'll pay through lower wages, higher prices and less-generous benefits. Republicans should emphasize the fact that the Democrats' spending policies have led to out-of-control inflation. That, in turn, means that a family's paychecks don't stretch as far as their paychecks did during the Trump administration. Let's highlight the Biden/Democrats Green New Deal agenda has led to higher gas prices and that they'll lead to higher home-heating bills this winter.
Let's ask Pennsylvania and Wisconsin voters if they thought that they were voting for higher gas prices, higher home-heating bills and paychecks that don't stretch as far as they did during the Trump administration. Let's remind voters that this was their inflation rate during the Trump administration:
Joe Biden's definition of zero is intellectually insulting. It's what I'd expect from a Democrat career politician. The American people didn't think that they were voting for a president who insults our intelligence like this.
