Gavin Newsom's "Mama Bears" problem

If Gavin Newsom is recalled on Sept. 14, it will be because of Christine Abercrombie, Ellen Woitalla, Roxanna Maxam, aka "the Mama Bears." This trio has put together a coalition of volunteers that's beyond impressive. According to the report, "the communications and visual face of the Recall has often been leads like Orrin Heatlie, Mike Netter, or Tom del Becarro" but that it's been "these Mama Bears who did all the groundwork, the leg work, and sacrificed an entire year and a half of their lives in order to see the September 14 recall election happen."

Christine Abercrombie, Recall Gavin Newsom Executive Secretary, said "We’re the ones that spent the hours, we’re the ones that got this pushed over the finish line. And so, I really want to tell our story, you know, and from a woman’s perspective. This is not just a man’s kind of political world." There's much to tell, including their strategy for fighting ballot harvesting and election fraud. "All this stuff behind me is all cards we got from people saying, 'Yes'" [to the recall], Abercrombie explained. "We’re still getting petitions."

As for fighting ballot harvesting and election fraud, the plan is simple:

The point of the data that was shared was that they were alarmed that mostly Democrats have already voted and put their ballot in the mail. But here’s one of the strategies that I think we’re finally waking up to. Even though we have a 30-day period to cast our ballot, we’re all waiting ‘till September 14th,” she said. 

"I’m not going to turn mine in until I know where we’re going with this thing. And you know what? Since they want 30 days, then I’m going to use those 30 days to decide who’s going to put us over that line. And I’m going to vote for that person. 

"I think we’re wising up and we’re not just playing along with their game, but we’re using their strategy to our favor. I think us voting on September 14 and not letting them know [is working], ’cause only 19 percent of Republicans have voted. Yeah, because the other 81 percent are waiting."

Why let Democrats know how many votes they need to manufacture? And yes, election fraud happens. What other reason is there for not updating states' Statewide Voter Registration System, aka SVRS? LA County settled with Tom Fitton and Judicial Watch to clean up their SVRS, meaning that they eliminated the registrations of people who had moved or died.

The Help America Vote Act of 2002 requires that statewide voter rolls be updated. Thanks to George Soros' Secretary of State Project, implemented in 2006, states with Democrat secretaries of state ignored that requirement. It wasn't until Tom Fitton's lawsuits that those requirements started being followed.

These Mama Bears are well-organized and motivated. That's what's required to win special elections. That doesn't guarantee that Gavin Newsom will get recalled on Sept. 14 but it gives the people a legitimate shot at toppling Newsom.
