John Thompson, domestic abuser?

DFL Gov. Tim Walz and other DFL politicians are calling on Rep. John Thompson, DFL-St. Paul, to resign immediately. It's worth noting that they didn't call on Thompson to resign when he accused Rep. Eric Lucero, a Hispanic, of being a racist. Democrats didn't call for Thompson's resignation after Thompson accused a police officer of racially profiling Thompson.

This time, Democrats are calling on Thompson to resign immediately because the DFL allegedly just learned that he's allegedly abused his girlfriend. Alpha News's Kyle Hooten smells a rat:

The DFL is stuck with Thompson. Minnesota Republicans will tie Thompson around the neck of every vulnerable DFL representative in 2022. I suspect, though, that they'll tie Rep. Thompson's Hugo diatribe around the DFL's neck, not the alleged sexual misconduct from 15+ years ago.

The truth is that the DFL should've recognized that Thompson had a hardware store-sized collection of screws loose after Thompson's profanity-filled Hugo diatribe. Check out what Gov. Walz said of that incident:

In his tweet, Gov. Walz said "Minnesotans deserve representatives who uphold the highest moral character and share our values." When Thompson called GOP Rep. Eric Lucero a racist, did Rep. Thompson display the highest moral character? Did Thompson share the DFL's values? When Thompson led a rally against Bob Kroll, did Rep. Thompson display the highest moral character? Did Thompson share the DFL's values then?

Spare me the sanctimony, Gov. Walz.

What is Kamala Harris afraid of?

Apparently, Kamala Harris suddenly loves debating. Let me rephrase that. Harris loves debating as long as the moderators are partisan hacks. She wants nothing to do with a debate moderated by Fox's Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum. She's afraid of Bret and Martha because a) they'll either fact-check both her and Trump or they won't fact-check either of them and b) Bret and Martha aren't afraid of asking follow-up questions. To a candidate whose answers are scripted and who isn't quick on her feet, the last thing you want is a follow-up question. Why is Joe Biden letting Hamas off the hook?

It isn't disputable whether Joe Biden's administration is letting Hamas off the hook. That issue was settled months ago, when a spineless Joe Biden caved to activists interested in saving Hamas and thwarting the Israelis' attempt to defend themselves.
