It's time to fire Lori Lightfoot

The headline of this article is enough to fire Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot immediately. Weekend after weekend, the citizens of Chicago serve as target practice for rival gangs and other thugs. The title is "6 kids wounded as 92 are shot, 16 fatally, across Chicago in city’s most violent weekend of 2021."

Why would anyone want to live in a city like that? People living in a city that size shouldn't have to live in such a violent city. Year-after-year, Chicago is the homicide capitol of the US. The article says "In the deadliest and most violent weekend this year in Chicago, 92 people have been shot over the long Fourth of July weekend, 16 of them killed. The 76 wounded include six children and teenagers and two Chicago police supervisors."

Who wants to live in a city that looks like this?

Watkins said she cried when she heard about an earlier shooting in which a 1-month-old baby was shot last week while in a car. She said she’s distraught over kids being shot: “They didn’t ask to be hurt. I just pray and hope that the kids are OK that got hurt.”
When you hear 92 and 16, you think statistics. When you hear a mom cry about little children getting shot, you think 'tragedy'. When I think of bloodshed in Chicago, I immediately think 'Lori Lightfoot must go. Immediately!'

Lightfoot campaigned as a disruptor. She's governed as an incompetent. She's a political hack and an elitist. She insists that any criticism of her is either racist or sexist. Most Chicagoans think that criticism of her is justified.

That's why she's got to get fired.

After Minnesota's Democrats shoved the most controversial progressive legislation down Minnesotans' throats, gossip started popping up about Gov. Walz being interested in running for president . Yesterday, Maria Bartiromo interrogated Gov. Ron DeSantis on Sunday Morning Futures. The first half of the interview, Bartiromo asked policy questions. Gov. DeSantis showed his understanding of the issues and presented his solutions on everything from China, inflation and growing the economy. The first reply he had was to cut spending. His next reply was to open energy production. Third, he talked about the importance of increasing productivity, which he correctly said is the best way to eliminate inflation.
