Anti-CRT fever is spreading in Virginia

At first, anti-CRT activism was located exclusively in Fairfax and Loudoun counties. As more parents study the subject, the more anti-CRT sentiment spreads. Just the News reports that "Demographically and regionally disparate efforts in Virginia to counteract the spread of critical race theory in public schools are underscoring the broad-based nature of the grassroots backlash against the ideology." This isn't a fringe movement anymore. It's a mainstream movement with momentum.

The article continues, saying "Interest in and criticism of the theory has reached a fever pitch since the start of the year, thanks in part to public awareness efforts by activists such as Christopher Rufo, who has utilized social media to expose the significant amount of critical race theory present in U.S. elementary, middle and high schools." This isn't surprising, considering how arrogant the school boards have been. That's been especially true in Loudoun County, though it's apparently spreading:

The growing backlash to CRT in Loudoun, a county squarely in the middle of the bluest electoral region in Virginia, is underscored by similar efforts in Powhatan County, a more sparsely populated, solidly rural and Republican district nearly three hours south of Loudoun by car to the southwest of the state capital of Richmond.
This fight is part of the 'silver lining' to the Democrats' lockdowns. The Democrats worked with the teachers unions to keep schools shut down, forcing distance learning. Parents, often moms, got to see the teachers teaching the students how to be oppressors or victims. Nothing fires a parent up more than seeing their kids being taught that trash. This has been the predictable outcome:

The uprisings have happened at each meeting in Loudoun County. While Loudoun County is the most prominent 'pushback county', school boards are getting pushback in counties across America. In the last month, I've found articles from a Dallas suburb, Granite, UT, New Jersey, Ohio, eastern Oregon and my home state of Minnesota where parents (and occasionally from students) pushed back.

There's little doubt that this will be a determining factor in next year's midterm elections. Joe Biden's open borders and crime will be the other driving factors that will determine how big the 2022 red wave will be.
