John Earle Sullivan, far-left activist and self-proclaimed journalist (without credentials), claims he entered the U.S. Capitol Building on January 6, 2021, to film the riot. For his efforts, he earned nearly $100,000 from at least six news outlets. Unfortunately, all the names were redacted in the recent official 28-page criminal complaint. Some sources list CNN, NBC, and The Washington Post among the recipients of the footage.

In January, Sullivan was arrested for unlawful entry, disorderly conduct, and attempted obstruction of law enforcement. In addition to dressing in black, his words on a YouTube video sound like a rioter, not a journalist. From The Western Journal (May 23, 2021) we read:

"The United States obtained a video of Sullivan, posted on YouTube, in which, while attending a protest in Washington, D.C., Sullivan can be seen telling a crowd, over a microphone, ‘we about to burn this s**t down,’ ‘we got to rip Trump out of office … f***ing pull him out of that s**t … we ain’t waiting until the next election … we about to go get that motherf***er,’” the affidavit read (no asterisks were used). “Sullivan then can be seen leading the crowd in a chant of, ‘it’s time for a revolution.’”

Would a true journalist dress in black, wear a ballistics vest and have a gas mask to enter the Capitol Building? If President Trump allegedly told his supporters to storm the Capitol following his speech at the Eclipse on January 6th, how was Sullivan able to post a livestream on social media days earlier that he was in Washington, D.C., for the January 6 protests?

Fox News quotes him as stating then:

"It’s going to be massively insane ... Trump people? Damn. Damn. If it’s a mixture of Trump people and Black Lives Matter people, damn, that’s even more intense for me, that’s something I want to see," he allegedly said. "I’ll be a part of it, sure, I’ll be in it, but I don’t do illegal stuff guys. John’s a peaceful protester, I just record and show you guys the world."

The Gateway Pundit notes that Sullivan “…organized two Antifa-BLM events near the US Capitol just hours before the US Capitol was breached.” A reporter or an activist or an insurrectionist?

Now Sullivan faces eight charges with newly added weapons and false statement charges. In addition, unnamed authorities seized $90,000 from Sullivan, In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Sullivan told them:

"I was worried about people recognizing me and thinking that I was Antifa or, like, BLM or whatever…The entire time they’re yelling, ‘F— Antifa! F— BLM.’ I’m not saying I’m Antifa, by any means. But I definitely believe Black Lives Matter."

Are these the words of a real journalist? A narcissistic glory-hound? A radical leftist?

To-date, more than 440 people have been charged in the January 6 riot, but no one has been charged, or even identified, in the death of Ashli Babbitt. Even Sullivan has footage of that tragic incident. How was it possible for him to be present for that?

Sadly, his videos add to the narrative repeated ad nauseum by the progressive left—in Congress and in the Beltway.

Isa Cox of The Western Journal laments: "I don’t know what’s worse — Sullivan’s wanton instigation of violence on the obvious basis of his radical beliefs. or the base, hypocritical opportunism he displayed by greedily hawking his footage to outlets he knew would gobble it up."
