Let's expel Maxine Waters

Marjorie Taylor Greene isn't one to mince words on indelicate subjects. When Democrat Maxine Waters told rioters/looters/activists that they should "get more confrontational" if they don't get a murder conviction for Derek Chauvin, Rep. Taylor Greene replied "I'll be introducing a resolution to expel Rep. Maxine Waters from Congress for her continual incitement of violence." Since it takes two-thirds of the members of the House to vote to expel a member, it isn't likely that Rep. Waters will get expelled. That doesn't mean that this is a frivolous enterprise. Dean Phillips and Angie Craig are so-called moderate Democrats representing Twin Cities suburbs. Phillips' district is just west of George Floyd Square. They're living in fear of riots daily. Predictably, the NRCC issued a statement:
"Telling rioters who have burned buildings, looted stores, and assaulted journalists to get 'more confrontational' is incredibly irresponsible. Every House Democrat should condemn Maxine Waters' call for violence," National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Mike Berg told Fox News.
This isn't going away anytime soon for Democrats. Newt Gingrich jumped into this fight this morning on Fox & Friends: Here's the heart of what he said:
As a civilization you either provide safety or you dissolve. And we’ve had with both Rashida Tlaib, who called for abolishing the police and eliminating prisons, which is a position of utter insanity. And now of course you have [Maxine] Waters who has always been on the left. But, what’s happened is with every passing—the more patient we are the more radical they are. So, you have over a year of violence in Portland, Oregon. You have an expectation of violence. Why should we expect violence if the criminal justice system works? Why should we tolerate violence? Why should we tolerate national guardsmen being shot at?
Frankly, Rashida Tlaib and Maxine Waters should be institutionalized. Getting rid of the police, shutting down ICE and emptying the prisons aren't political positions. They're proof of insanity. Getting the votes to throw Tlaib and Waters out is impossible in this situation. Tying them to vulnerable Democrats is quite possible. That starts by asking the question: how often have 'moderate' Angie Craig and Dean Phillips voted the same way as Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, AOC, Maxine Waters and other far-left Democrats?
