Joe Biden's speech from La-La-Land

Rumor has it that Joe Biden delivered a speech to a joint session of Congress last night. Normally, those speeches are delivered from the Speaker's perch. Last night, Joe Biden's speech sounded like it was from La-La Land. To any well-informed listener, Joe sounded like his Neil Kinnock/plagiarism days. In the speech's opening, Biden said "100 days ago, America’s house was on fire. We had to act. And thanks to the extraordinary leadership of Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Schumer, and with the overwhelming support of the American people, Democrats, Independents, and Republicans, we did act. Together, we passed the American Rescue Plan, one of the most consequential rescue packages in American history. We’re already seeing the results. After I promised 100 million COVID-19 vaccine shots in 100 days – we will have provided over 220 million COVID shots in 100 days. We’re marshalling every federal resource. We’ve gotten the vaccine to nearly 40,000 pharmacies and over 700 community health centers. We’re setting up community vaccination sites, and are deploying mobile units into hard-to-reach areas. Today, 90% of Americans now live within 5 miles of a vaccination site." Notice what's missing. What's missing is the fact that Joe Biden inherited Operation Warp Speed from President Trump. By the time Biden put his hand on his family's Bible, Biden and VP Harris had already been vaccinated for a month. National Review gets it right fast in this article:
On his telling, every good thing that has happened in America since he took office, from vaccination to job creation, is a tribute to his wisdom, rather than a continuation of a trajectory set beforehand.
This part of the speech was particularly offensive:
And, maybe most importantly, thanks to the American Rescue Plan, we are on track to cut child poverty in America in half this year. In the process, the economy created more than 1.3 million new jobs in 100 days. More new jobs in the first 100 days than any president on record.
That's amazing, especially since none of Biden's policies have been enacted yet. Put differently, Biden inherited a recovering economy. 9 months ago, Larry Kudlow said that we were heading into "a V-shaped recovery": 9 months ago, Mr. Kudlow said that "we've created 8,000,000 new jobs the past couple of months." I'm thankful for the 1,300,000 new jobs in 3 months but that doesn't compare with 8,000,000 new jobs in 2 months.
We have stared into an abyss of insurrection and autocracy, of pandemic and pain, and "We the People" did not flinch.
We The People didn't flinch but Democrats, starting with Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi, told some whoppers. Still, despite the Democrats' best efforts to divide us, Americans are prevailing. Biden pretended to develop the vaccine and distribute it, then pretended that his policies started the economic recovery. This speech had the authenticity of Hollywood.

After Minnesota's Democrats shoved the most controversial progressive legislation down Minnesotans' throats, gossip started popping up about Gov. Walz being interested in running for president . Yesterday, Maria Bartiromo interrogated Gov. Ron DeSantis on Sunday Morning Futures. The first half of the interview, Bartiromo asked policy questions. Gov. DeSantis showed his understanding of the issues and presented his solutions on everything from China, inflation and growing the economy. The first reply he had was to cut spending. His next reply was to open energy production. Third, he talked about the importance of increasing productivity, which he correctly said is the best way to eliminate inflation.
