The Biden border cover-up continues

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was sent out to the Sunday shows to put out the Biden Border Crisis fire. Instead, he poured gasoline on that fire, saying that DHS is working to provide tape to reporters on conditions in "the Customs and Border Patrol housing facilities." Undoubtedly, some in the media will think that's just fine. Those that'll be fine with it are either lazy or propagandists. The other possibility is that they're lazy because they're propagandists. But I digress. Mayorkas started his spin, saying "We are focused on our operations, executing our operations, in a crowded border patrol facility where hundreds of vulnerable migrant children are located." He continued, saying "We’re working on providing footage so that the American public can see the border patrol stations." TRANSLATION: 'We'll send you a videotape of everything looking under control once we get everything under control." After hiding the conditions at these detention facilities, who will trust them? Secretary Mayorkas didn't instill trust when he said that the Biden Border Crisis was a challenge. Secretary Mayorkas said that President Trump had torn down the system that he'd inherited. That's the only truthful thing he said during the interview. President Trump tore down lots of things that weren't working in his term in office. Catch and Release was one thing that wasn't working. During FY16, the Obama administration caught almost 12,842 illegal immigrants. In FY19, the worst year of the Trump administration, CBP caught 4,269 illegal immigrants. Thus far in FY21, which started on Oct. 1, 2020, 4,140 illegal immigrants have been caught. With the busiest months of April-June still ahead of us, there's a strong chance that the Biden administration will shatter the Obama record. In this hearing, Secretary Mayorkas said "the border is secure and the border is not open." Anyone believing that should call me ASAP. I've got a bridge for sale. Anyone believing that likely thinks that Jen Psaki is honest, too.

After Minnesota's Democrats shoved the most controversial progressive legislation down Minnesotans' throats, gossip started popping up about Gov. Walz being interested in running for president . Yesterday, Maria Bartiromo interrogated Gov. Ron DeSantis on Sunday Morning Futures. The first half of the interview, Bartiromo asked policy questions. Gov. DeSantis showed his understanding of the issues and presented his solutions on everything from China, inflation and growing the economy. The first reply he had was to cut spending. His next reply was to open energy production. Third, he talked about the importance of increasing productivity, which he correctly said is the best way to eliminate inflation.
