Joy Reid's propaganda ministry

When MSNBC's Joy Reid insisted last night that the border crisis was just a challenge, she painted herself into a corner. She also exposed herself as a partisan hack of the highest order. Last night, Reid said "Yes, migration at the southern border is a genuine political challenge, an on-going one that spans several previous administrations. But is it a crisis as Republicans so desperately want the media to portray it as?" The straightforward answer is yes. When 694 children are put in a facility with a capacity limit of 80, that's the definition of a crisis. When FEMA is called to the border to help with the situation, it's an emergency. When the Biden administration spends $86,900,000 on hotels to house illegal immigrant families, that's far beyond a challenge. Here's a note to Ms. Reid. It isn't just Republicans who think this is a crisis. Mexican President Obrador thinks there's a crisis at the US-Mexico border, too:
"Expectations were created that with the government of President Biden there would be a better treatment of migrants. And this has caused Central American migrants, and also from our country, wanting to cross the border thinking that it is easier to do so."
This nightmare won't stop soon: What's happening at the US-Mexico border isn't a challenge. It isn't a crisis, either. It's a disaster of Joe Biden's making.
