Tom Homan, there's finally a border czar in town edition

After dealing with VP Kamala Harris as our border czarina, we'll finally have a legitimate border czar in DC. That announcement came in this retweet from the Trump War Room account. In the retweet, Trump said "I am pleased to announce that the Former ICE Director, and stalwart on Border Control, Tom Homan, will be joining the Trump Administration, in charge of our Nation’s Borders (“The Border Czar”), including, but not limited to, the Southern Border, the Northern Border, all Maritime, and Aviation Security. I’ve known Tom for a long time, and there is nobody better at policing and controlling our Borders. Likewise, Tom Homan will be in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin. Congratulations to Tom. I have no doubt he will do a fantastic, and long awaited for, job."

That's a big deal. You'll find Homan's picture in the dictionary if you look for the term pro's pro. Tom Homan has forgotten more about border security than most people have known. Homan's commitment is off-the-charts. Think of him as the polar opposite of VP Harris, who couldn't be bothered with visiting the U.S. Mexico border. You can view the retweet here:

This is an appointment that doesn't require confirmation. Homan's position isn't a cabinet position. It's considered a staff position. Here's Homan's interview from earlier this week:

Here's what NBC is reporting on this appointment:
Homan touts hard-line immigration views and previously vowed to "run the biggest deportation force this country has ever seen. He was an early supporter of the Trump administration’s "zero tolerance" policy, which led to thousands of families being separated at the southern border. Trump eventually signed an executive order in 2018 reversing the family separation policy after public outcry.

In an interview with CBS' "60 Minutes" that aired in October, Homan was asked whether there was a way to carry out mass deportations without separating families. "Of course there is. Families can be deported together," he responded.

According to the interview, Homan likely will focus on deporting criminals first. Why would we want to keep murderers, rapists and gang members in the U.S.? When coupled with Trump's appointment of Susie Wiles as his Chief of Staff, this is a strong, impressive start to building the administration.

It's interesting that Homan said that local law enforcement was quietly working with ICE in deporting criminal aliens. It makes sense that they'd do that. What law enforcement officer wants criminal elements in their city? The appointment of Homan as border czar meaans that, in 70 days, we won't have to put up with this BS:

Unlike Secretary Mayorkas, Tom Homan will be able, at some time in the near future, to truthfully tell Sen. Cruz that the border is closed and that people aren't endangered by criminal aliens. That's because he's committed to shutting down the border. Secretary Mayorkas is committed to opening the U.S.-Mexico border. Good riddance!!!
